Icefields Parkway bed and breakfast B&B Aurum Lodge and Cottage

Aurum Lodge and cottage is located near Banff National Park, close to the central portion of the famous Icefields Parkway, connecting Lake Louise and Jasper.

Overlooking Abraham Lake and surrounded by moutains and forests, this all-season wilderness retreat is your ideal base to explore the northern portion of Banff Park between Lake Louise and the Columbia Icefields as well as the adjacent front ranges and foothills of the Alberta Rockies along Hwy 11 (the David Thompson Highway).

Alberta's only eco-tourism country inn, Aurum Lodge has received the highest Audubon - Green Leaf eco-rating (5 Green Leaves) and various coveted environmental awards for its ecologically friendly design and operation.

Two distinctly different products are offered to the visitor: Six lodge rooms, which come with breakfast or half-board arrangements and three self-contained units with kitchens for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals.

The facility is smoke free and adult-oriented, ideal for couples, individual travellers and small special interest groups looking for a comfortable and secluded getaway in the mountains. Please note our minimum stay policy in the shoulder / high season and for the self-contained units. For all those who love nature, hiking and low impact outdoor activities and prefer to stay away from the busy tourist centers in the National Parks, our lodge and cabins are an ideal destination. We also offer attractive rate reductions on stays of four nights or longer.

Activities include hiking, biking, canoe tours, glacier walks, trail rides, climbing, snow-shoeing, X-country skiing, dog-sledding, ice-climbing and much more.

Attractions include unspoilt scenery, waterfalls, lakes and rivers, abundant wildlife and flora, historic sites and native culture.
