Shirley Samantha's is located on a quiet residential street, within walking distance of downtown Ottawa, close to public transportation, and half a block from the Rideau River Walking/Cycling Path. We are easily reached from Highway 417. Off-street complimentary parking is available.
Scrumptious breakfasts featuring Ottawa Valley produce and Cynthia's home baking are served in the formal dining room, or, weather permitting, on the deck in the shade of the maple tree. With advance notice, we will gladly accommodate special dietary requirements or preferences. Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and home-baked cookies are always available in the second floor Study. A small fridge will keep your own wine or other foods chilled.
Shirley Samantha's is a perfect base for taking in the sights and sounds of the National Capital and Ottawa's Summer Festivals. Your knowledgeable hosts will be delighted to answer your questions about what to see and do. We have city maps and tourist information available. Cyclists and skiiers can store their equipment in locked sheds in the back yard. Business travellers will find our location convenient to downtown, three minutes from the train station and 20 minutes from the airport. We provide complimentary secure wireless Internet access. There is also a desk with telephone for guests' use.
