The Town of Boissevain - an International Communities in Bloom Winner

    Visit this friendly prairie town that welcomes visitors year-round. Spend a leisurely day visiting the large Outdoor Art Gallery, a Manitoba Star Attraction. This displays boasts over 20 historic outdoor murals. The Moncur Gallery of pre-European artifacts, the Beckoning Hills Musem, an Art Park, and unique gift and antique shops are some of it's many amenities. A visit to the station brings back the mostalgia of yesteryear as you browse through allthe "Chabby Chic" furniture displays. For the young at heart, Boissevain's giant, challenging Corn Maze offers an afternoon of entertainment. The Boissevain golf Club also offers a beautiful, challenging 9-hole course.

    Nearby visit other area attractions, all within 5-10 minutes from Walkinshaw Place. 

  • The International Peace Garden, only 5 minutes from Walkinshaw Place, stands as one of the greatest symbols of peace in the world today. Ablaze with colour in summer, it is home to the International Music Camp in June and July and features musical concerts most weekends. Spend an afternoon wandering through the colourful gardens, landscapes, and wilderness areas.
  • The Turtle Mountain Provincial Park, an all four seasons playground, is located adjacent to Walkinshaw Place. The Winter Park includes a skating pond, tobogganing hill and outdoor hockey arena with warming huts scattered throughout the park. The groomed snowmobile trials wind throughout the Provincial Park. Seasonal facilities are offered for hiking, mountain biking, trail riding, swimming, water skiing, picnics and fishing. Opportunities for bird watching, wildlife and wildflorwer vienwing are abundant.
  • Manitoba Golf at its best! Walkinshaw Place offers great 2-day golf packages that include the Killarney Lakeside Golf Club, Boissevain Golf Club, and the Deloraine Golf Club. 
  • The Whitewater Lake Waterfowl Habitat is designated an Important Bird Area of Canada, and is known worldwide as a birding hotpot in Southwestern Manitoba. Shorebirds are plentiful and Whitewater Lake provides a natural viewing area for waterfowl and prairie wildlife.
