In 1999 Darrell and Merna Abel moved to Kimberley to embark on a new adventure. Having had much experience in managing both small and larger businesses they were looking forward to a complete lifestyle change and found it in the Kootenays. 

In their spare time, they love to venture out on a hike or ride off on their ATV to explore the area. They like to relate their own experiences to their guests and advise them of the many mountain trails to hike as well as less strenuous walks into the well shaded nature trails, which begin right at their back yard. Both are avid cross-country skiers and can be found on most winter days enjoying some of the best trails and breathtaking winter scenery you can imagine. They also love to travel to warm destinations prior to the Kimberley ski season and enjoy sharing their stories with their many guests. 

They keep on hand up-to-date schedules of all activities and tourist attractions in the area and will gladly offer you a complete package for golf, skiing, white-water rafting, special occasions or romantic getaways.
