Celebrating 25 years of Hosting the World
and loving it!
The Evergreens Bed and Breakfast, near the beautiful Shuswap Lake, in Sorrento, British Columbia is a novel and interesting place to stay when you are travelling.
Your hostesses, Linda Eberle and Verna Langevin have been building and modifying their house since 1986, making it a unique and elegant stop, conveniently located near the Trans Canada highway.
Sorrento is a small town, but with all the amenities. Just five minutes' walk from the Evergreens Bed and Breakfast, you will be able to find restaurants and shopping. If you need the services of a hairdresser, doctor or dentist, they are available too.
The Shuswap Lake area of British Columbia offers a wide variety of activities for the visitor. For the outdoors enthusiast, there is some of the best swimming for miles around. Not far away, you can arrange to go golfing on an 18-hole course, fishing, parasailing or white-water rafting on the mighty Adams River. In the third week of July, you may want to attend the Shuswap Festival of the Arts.
In the winter, there is also no shortage of things to do. Try your hand at ice-fishing, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling.
In early to mid October, you can witness one of Nature's wonders as thousands of salmon cram the Adams River, mysteriously guided to the place where they were hatched. Once there, the salmon lay their eggs to ensure the next generation, and then, exhausted from their journey, they die.
