Lakewoods Bed and Breakfast

Just outside the town of Port Alberni on Vancouver Island you will find Lakewoods Bed and Breakfast. 

Your hosts, Dick and Jane Visee are knowledgeable about the many things to see and do in the Beautiful Pacific Rim area and look forward to hearing from you and helping you plan your vacation.

Plan a full day of west coasting aboard either the MV Lady Rose or MV Francis Barkley as they travel down the Alberni Inlet to Bamfield and through the picturesque Broken Islands Group to Ucluelet. The Broken Islands Group is the drop off point for kayaking. During the summer months these two vessels depart daily to one of these two locations.

We are about 1 1/2 hours from Ucluelet by auto, where you can spend the day whale watching or strolling on the beach at Pacific Rim National Park. The many forest hiking trails, souvenir shops, galleries and restaurants will fill your day.

Take a day to look around the Alberni Valley and visit the Historical McLeans Mill, which is a national park. While visiting the shops and attractions at Harbour Quay, check out the Alberni Valley Nature Tours office for your nature adventure tours. 

Visit the Alberni Valley Museum, which houses a collection of pictures and artifacts from this area. The museum is where you can view pictures of the only Tsunami (tidal wave) to hit the Port Alberni area. 

Rollin Arts Centre showcases local talent and is open to afternoon teas in the gardens. The valley is sprinkled with many parks and gardens to enjoy on a sunny afternoon.

Stamp Falls and Cathedral Grove will keep you close to nature for a day outing. You can take a picnic lunch or dine at one of our numerous restaurants. The Alberni Valley hosts many events during the year such as salmon derbys, fall fairs, parades, harbour days, vintage car and truck shows and more. Please be sure to ask us when booking for the event taking place during your stay.
